Self-Study Video Hub

Video lessons on our Hi Burma’s YouTube channel are designed for children who cannot access the internet in their area to continue on their learning journey. In the aftermath of military coup, many people experience daily internet or power outages and only have access to a mobile phone service in some areas. In the Sagaing Region and other areas where a deliberate campaign of terror – combining extreme violence, collective punishment and systemic repression is taking place, internet access is only available through Starlink.

To make learning enjoying for these online students, the lessons feature a variety of activities. Additionally, for follow-up learning based on videos, our teachers provide tasks to complete to develop children’s creativity, critical thinking, and online research skills. The videos adopt a storytelling approach, using narrative alongside attractive visuals. Anyone looking for learning and teaching resources to support alternative education in various ‘out-of-school’ cases is free to download these lessons to study offline.
