Prioritising Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) members, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, our mission is to promote equitable access to high quality education. By providing scholarships, we aim to empower a new generation of learners and educators who can thrive intellectually, spiritually and socially, ready to contribute towards a brighter future for Burma.
Hope Institute Burma offers a full scholarship for Myanmar youth to attend a 24-week study programme at our partner learning centre in Brighton, UK. This unique opportunity is designed to enhance your personal English language and networking skills, working alongside a variety of international students, to become better equipped to teach English effectively in-person and online. The programme includes top-quality instruction aimed at helping scholars achieve their best IELTS score.
The trip offers enriching opportunities such as visits to iconic UK landmarks and other cultural experiences. All costs—including flights, visa fees, accommodation, and living expenses—are fully funded, and continued financial and practical support is provided throughout the stay. This scholarship reflects our commitment to empowering Myanmar youth through world-class education and meaningful global exposure.
Hope Institute Burma provides full or partial scholarships for Myanmar volunteers, based on individual needs, wishing to pursue university studies in Thailand. These scholarships can cover tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses for the entire duration of the programme, as well as airfare and visa costs. In line with our mission to provide access to quality education and empower disadvantaged youth, this opportunity allows students to grow academically and personally in a supportive, international environment. Through a range of higher education programmes, the aim is to equip Myanmar youth with the knowledge, aptitude and skills needed to contribute in meaningful ways to a democratic and educated society.
The Hope Scholarship supports CDM students from Myanmar in covering fees for IELTS or GED programmes, serving as a vital stepping stone towards further academic advancement. Targeting dedicated learners, with at least pre-intermediate English proficiency, this needs-based scholarship prioritises learners who are committed to continuing their education and actively contributing to the development of their local community. The scholarship provides funding directly to the educational institution offering a relevant programme and includes access to mentoring and support services. Recipients must maintain reasonable academic progress; fulfil reporting requirements; and commit to participating in community volunteering. This Hope Scholarship reflects our mission to uplift Myanmar youth through access to an internationally recognised qualification, on their lifelong learning journeys.
