Hope Institute Burma (Hi Burma) aims to provide free education for CDM active Myanmar youth and students from poor and disadvantaged backgrounds, in addition to training and professional development for CDM teachers. Hi Burma provides a variety of learning opportunities for children to continue their education during the political crisis. Most Hi Burma education programs are conducted online and delivered by local and international volunteers.

Online Teacher

The Online Teacher will develop curriculum content appropriate for Hope Burma’s online courses with clear learning objectives while selecting, adapting, or creating appropriate teaching and learning materials, including video lessons. They will ensure to monitor student participation, performance, and improvement throughout the classes thereby creating a stimulating and safe online learning environment.

 

The ideal candidate will be a subject specialist in education with experience in different teaching contexts, have at least an English Pre-Intermediate Level, be proficient with basic digital tools (PowerPoint, Microsoft Team, and Google Suite), excel at communicating, and have strong leadership skills.

This part-time/ full-time position is fully remote and open for all CDM teachers residing in Myanmar. This position is open until filled, and we are reviewing applications on a rolling basis. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply at their earliest convenience.

Homeschooling Teacher

Homeschooling Teacher, where you will guide and instruct small groups of 8-12 students through the agreed curriculum. Your role involves planning interactive, well-structured lessons with diverse activities and teaching resources. Beyond academic enrichment, you will create a nurturing environment by monitoring attendance, ensuring the physical and mental well-being of students, and ensuring safety following the safeguarding policy. Your commitment extends to monitoring, tracking, reviewing, and recording students’ progress, using a variety of educational and social activities to enhance their overall development. Engage in professional development activities to enhance your skills and contribute to the holistic educational experience we offer.

We are seeking candidates to join us as CDM Teachers who are 16 years old and above, have a minimum of one year of teaching experience, and demonstrate at least a Pre-intermediate English Level. Proficiency in using basic digital tools and Microsoft applications is essential. This part-time/ full-time position is fully blended and open for all CDM teachers residing in Myanmar. This position is open until filled, and we are reviewing applications on a rolling basis. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply at their earliest convenience.
